Your journey itinerary

Day 1: You will arrive in Whitehorse on your own schedule. In the afternoon you will meet your guide for the tour preparation and trip briefing. Overnight in a centrally located Hotel.

Day 2: We will pick you up at your hotel and drive to the floatplane base just outside the city. After loading the plane we take off and fly over gentle hills and deep blue lakes towards the Coast Mountains. The flight takes about one half hour before we will land on Primrose Lake. Once the plane has left and the sound of the engine fades in the distance, we will feel immersed in wilderness and its solitude. Now our trekking starts with the ascent to an alpine plateau offering breathtaking vistas into the towering mountains.  We pitch our tents and prepare supper together.

Day 3 to 5: We hike across plateaus and over gentle passes, every moment offering great new views. We will also have time to set up camp for more then one night and venture on a daytrip to a peak above a glacier from where the snow caped peaks seem so close you would think you can touch them. This land is home to Caribou and Sheep and we will very likely see them up close. Your knowledgeable guide will point out wildlife, plants and many other features in the vast land.

Day 6: In the afternoon we will reach an abandoned mining road, which will make it easy to descent down into the valley. Here we will be picked up for the one hour drive back to Whitehorse, where a hot shower and a soft bed will be ready for us.

Day 7: After a good night sleep you will continue your journey on your own.
